December 26th 2010

I know it's been a while since my last post. That's what the holiday season can do to you. Anyhow, on to some news. I see that a lot has changed since my last blog. Vince Carter is now in Phoenix with Steve Nash and Grant Hill? Gilbert Arenas and Jason Richardson is out in Orlando? There are some moves that might make a team better, but with what Orlando has done was that not only did they have to give up Rashard Lewis (and a couple of players), but they are now a force to be reckoned with now that J-Rich and Arenas is back on board with them. And now they have learned the errors of their ways and found a way to bring back the one man probably responsible outside of Dwight Howard for helping them reach the NBA Finals a few years back, Heido Turkalou. You can disagree all you want but he was probably the 2nd best player on that NBA Finals team and with him back and adding Arenas and Richardson plus you still got Nelson and Howard, I'm starting to feel sorry for Boston and Miami.

Speaking of Miami, finally they've gotten their act together and started to get more wins and surpassing Orlando for the top spot in their division. Who's to say how long that will last but enjoy being on top while it last (or how long the egos are able to hold out in South Beach). Congrats to them on their win against the Lakers on Christmas evening, I'm sure that Kobe will never forget that come June should you make it to the Finals. I've heard that Kobe and the Lake-Show has already brought their brooms. Another congrats to the New York Knicks for their X-Mas win over the Bulls, a teams with a winning record. The Knicks are also having their best season since the Houston/Sprewell era. Keep them young legs running and gunning out in NY, D'Antoni. Carmelo, if you're smart keep your mouth shut for the rest of the season and waiting until you're a free agent. Until then, keep that fake smile on your face to make Denver happy, then bolt over to NY. Chris Paul, within every game it looks like Raymond Felton is making the Knicks forget about you more and more. Might as well take that contract from New Orleans.

Yao Ming, just hang it up. You're not getting any better and you're not getting any younger with all them injuries. Just call it a career. I'll still consider you one of the greatest Asian centers to ever grace the game. You've gave it your best, not just sit back and enjoy what was a good stay at Houston. I'm just amazed at how Dallas is holding up, even without Dampier. Though he wasn't doing much anyways. Jason Kidd is still doing his thing after all these years, just like him co-Rookie of the Year partner Grant Hill in Phoenix. Seeing you guys still play some good quality basketball always brings my mind and body back to the mid-90's. I'm hoping for the Spurs to win the chip this season, just so Duncan can end it all as a winner just like his mentor David Robinson.

Well, that's it for this week. Next week.........I would tell you what I would want to say, but with something different going on every other day in the NBA, it's even hard for me to predict what my next blog is going to be about. You'll just have to wait and see. Leave you expressions and thoughts on what you like and dislike about the season so far. Until then, HAPPY NEW YEAR and I'll see you all in 2011.
